Monograph book published by Assoc. Prof. Agim Mamuti

Congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Agim Mamuti, Lecturer in the Faculty of Economy at Canadian Institute of Technology, on his recently published monograph book entitled: “Tax evasion as a crime, a study of perception in selected countries”.

The book is published by Lambert Academic Publishing and reviewed by distinguished USA professors: PhD. Yeomin Yoon, Seton Hall University and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Robert McGee, Fayetteville State University.

“This manuscript is one of the most thorough papers done on the topic. It includes five countries, four of which are in Eastern Europe. It is one of the few studies that has been done to measure the relative seriousness of tax evasion. It is an empirical study that can act as a template for further studies on this topic.
This study also examines the perception of the ethics of tax evasion. It found that tax evasion is perceived as ethical in some cases, although the degree of support for tax evasion differs depending on the situation.
The subject of this study is inherently interdisciplinary. It covers aspects of public finance, of course, but also political science, philosophy, ethics, psychology and sociology, to name a few. It serves as a good introduction to the topic. ” – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Robert McGee, Department of Accounting, Fayetteville State University.

CIT is particularly proud of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mamuti’s achievement and contribution to the literature on this critical and important issue.
