Today at our premises was held a round table discussion with experts of cyber security, cybercrime, and CIT Alumni as specialists in related fields.

During the discussion, it was emphasised the damage the cyber attacks might have caused in Albania, reason behind the weak link in the systems, and what we can do to prevent them in the future. It was highlighted the importance of cyber security engineers in today’s world. On the other hand, the institutions should pay more attention to protecting their data, where the universities have a crucial role to prepare students with real-life case studies.

Our CIT experts suggested that a long term cooperation between academic and public institution should be established to build human capacities in the form of tailored trainings and projects with public administration. The results of the round table will be made public soon and will be shared with state agencies dealing with cyber security in Albania.
